been a while since I posted due to ...ahhhhh work....but...I must say it has been very interesting to say the least. I have been working with the good folk at Gogofrog (this sites sponsor) on some very soon to be released features...and I can tell you...they are hot...real hot..hot enough to fry a monkeys bum hot...
Speaking of Monkeys ..in my quest to find an image to go with that comment i found this image claiming to be a 3d monkey...at some online craft shop ...what it really should have said of course is really really plug ugly mug for sale to anyone who lacks even a modicum of taste... but hey...I digress......
Where was I ?....ahhhhh hot new Gogofrog features.. well for a start Gogofrog sites will give visitors the option to toggle between 3d and 2d so that the 2d fanciers are catered for too..(mind you, who would want 2d when you can have the real thing...3d), the Gogofrog space in each room is being turned into something akin to central station with everything from video to furniture....speaking of furniture..Gogofrog site builders will be able to start furnishing their rooms with all sorts of really neat stuff, plants, couches, chairs...but thats not all, the photo management tools are being improved, users will be able to choose from a whole range of new skies and ....the big new features....users will be able to link their sites together..to turn Gogofrog into a seemless 3D world...where visitors can wander from site to site...(avoid tripping on the furniture!!)...And to leave the best till last....visitors to Gogofrog sites will be able to both see and chat to each other...now that is just too cool...in the test demo I took part in, I had someone from the other end of the world walk up to me in a Gogofrog site and start a chat.....I tell you what...whilst I always thought myspace.com was a peice of crap (albeit an expensive one!) ..now I know it is!!!. It will be surpassed as a social networking tool in only months.......
Keep an eye on the Gogofrog folks...social networking is about to take on a whole new meaning .
