3D Movie Posters

Terminator_hologram A whole new era in print media advertising is fast approaching - the advent of 3D movie posters is now! The claim is that these next-gen 3d movie posters are more advanced than the lenticular movie posters that movies such as Spiderman 3 (featured here) and The Chronicles of Narnia have used.

The lenticular movie posters appear animated and 3 dimensional when you look at the poster from different angles. With the new 3D movie poster, the images seem to 'pop out' at you. The company responsible for this is XYZ RGB, and through XYZ Imaging, characters and objects are brought to life!Thumbspiderman_3_teaser

The poster of the Terminator character you see above was presented to Terminator 2 director, James Cameron to which it was met with much amazement and awe.

Just a note about lenticular movie posters - although they are highly attnention grabbing, film studios do not create lenticulars very often. This is because they are more expensive to produce, they require (for best results) being backlighting , and most importantly, smaller details (such as text) are more difficult to read.

Let's just hope that those factors don't stop too many studios producing these cutting edge 3D posters!
