Do You Have Time To Kill?

Well if you do, then here are a whole swag of free 3D online games to fill up the time. I'm sure they'll occupy you for a whole of 2 minutes...at least.

Puki: The Swarm is a cute laser-shooting game. It's an epic tale (not!) of white round ball-monsters who try to eat you alive! Your only defence is a dual-laser with which to zap the little critters. There's also a shield you can use for a split-second.

Snowfight is another innocent game. As the title suggests, you walk around a fenced snow-covered field hurling snowballs to hostiles scattered about (including dorman snowmen).

Rifleman is for all you shoot-em-up fans. Set in WWI, you're a rifleman (duh!). You'll need to use the zoom function in order to nail those bad guys.

And who can forget Curveball (aka 3D Pong). I remember mentioning this on an earlier post wayyy back - but I really love this classic game. SUPER CURVE BONUS!

Yet Another Epic 3D Online Adventure

There seems to be such a wide and exciting variety of free MMORPGs (Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games...what a mouthful!) nowadays. And they keep on rolling in! The latest I've stumbled on is called Hero Online.

Set in ancient Chinese lore, the country is in turmoil from the iminent return of the "Twelve Demons". A new hero must step forward and return peace to the land...

This action-packed 3D RPG is similar to Diablo II (to those who are familiar with RPGs). Graphics are extremely colourful and attractive, but seem a bit dated to me (dunno, maybe its just my graphic card). The game comes with a huge amount of quests and subquests to throw your character  into. As with what you'd expect with a modern mutliplayer online game, you can fully interact with other characters in your 3D realm - chat, trade, cooperate or challenge them. You also get to tame a pet that grows with you throughout the adventure...kinda cute.

The game is still in beta stage, so there's no telling what extra features are still to come. What I've seen so far looks to be quite promising. Download the current beta here.
